SML is registered by the Reserve Bank of Malawi to invest in the
Malawi Government and the Reserve Bank of Malawi bills on agent
only basis. Tenors range from 63 days to 273 days. SML also discounts
government instruments for clients wishing to withdraw part or all
of their investment before maturity. This provides clients a seamless
switchover from fixed income to equities or vice versa at the client's
instruction.
